It was in the Pacific North West at the crossroads of old country, blues and rock and roll where four music business vets, singer/songwriter William Thomas Anderson, bassist Donnie Lemmon, drummer/vocalist John Holme and vocalist/guitarist Scott Riley were baptized in the southern sonic swamp waters and came up born again as the Green River Revivalists.  It’s no wonder a band of this caliber has come out of the Greater Seattle Area, the driving rain drove these musicians into the rehearsal studios, pubs, bars and theaters to sift, stir and brew the magic potion, a swampy elixir that would captivate the young, the old and  everyone in between crossing genre and generational boundaries.

For a combined total of 100 professional music industry years the Green River Revivalists have picked their way through the Cotton Fields, they have Run Through The Jungle, seen the world as the Travelling Band and taken the last train out of Lodi on the Midnight Special.  Seeing this level of musicianship crash together with their tangible southern rock and roll vibe will not be hailed as the second coming of Christ but it very well may be the Christmas miracle of seeing the spirit of CCR raised to life to rock the planet one more time.

The world needs the honest, socially conscious, clean livin’ music of the people, the world more than ever needs another musical revival and these good old boys are committed not only to performing the CCR material in the spirit it was written but also to writing new records that can be sonically tailored for the 21 century and a new generation who’s geared up and ready to rock and change the present to make it better for future generations to come.

“It’s our love of Americana, roots rock, the blues, old country and social justice that drew us like moths to a flame to the Creedence Clearwater Revival material and to each other.  Creedence Clearwater Revival is a very honest and real expression of who we are as musicians and as songwriters so when the four of us had a sit down it was no time before the mojo was flowing and we saw where our musical destinies where headed.”  WTA

So y’all start crankin’ up those old Creedence records real loud and getting your sing along voices ready, cause the Green River Revivalists’ traveling show will be coming to a town near you REAL soon ya hear!
